i just heard about what happened and i’m sick to my stomach. on wednesday night, june 20th, a 15 year old boy named Junior Guzman-Feliz was stabbed to death by about five grown men in the Bronx. he was a victim of extreme violence and worse there’s a video that people keep sharing that show his death. PLEASE STOP POSTING THE VIDEO. it’s not okay to continue spreading around media of a young boy being murdered. the whole ordeal makes me so angry and knowing that violence like this occurs without the assailants being caught makes it worse. now i know that posting about this incident with a hashtag won’t reach to many people but whatever i can do to make this more know, i will do. his family will most definitely not see this post but i want them to know that i’m so incredibly sorry for what happened to their son. i know that they are in pain right now and until action can be taken, know that you are in our thoughts. so please post this to as many places as possible so that more people know about the horrible injustice done to this boy. #justiceforjunior 💛

absolutely! sorry it’s going be a bit short but i hope it’s alright.

Kaz opened his eyes. The room was full of a harsh chill and Kaz found that someone had covered him in a thick woolen blanket. Inej perhaps? Kaz turned to look at the space next to him and saw only a slightly dented pillow. When had he fallen asleep? He and Inej had spent the night at Wylan and Jesper’s after a snow storm trapped them all in the manor. It wasn’t uncommon in the winter months and even Kaz had to admit that being so far away from his work wasn’t a horrible way to spend his night.
Kaz realized that the window to Inej’s room had been blown open, allowing the freezing air to dance around the room, whipping the delicate curtains from side to side. Kaz began to pull aside the covers but a click at the window sill silenced the howling wind. Inej was kneeling against the small seat under each of the large sills. She was covered in hundreds of white flakes that shone against her coat, her slippers, and her dark hair. After taking a moment to brush off, she met Kaz’s eyes as though she had expected them to be there waiting to watch her climb into the room.
“Breakfast,” her voice shook as she grinned and held up a paper bag. Though her eyes looked cheerful, she whole body was shaking like an autumn leaf. Kaz got up and walked over to wrap the wool blanket around her, nearly making her disappear under the huge comforter.
“Kaz I’m fine it’s just a bit of sn-” Kaz continued to pile on more blankets until she burst out laughing and called out a muffled, “I can’t see!”
Kaz grinned and helped her out of the pile of fur and pillows. The two walked over to the bed and sat down, Kaz with both feet planted on the floor, Inej with her legs crossed and her arms hugging her chest.
“What did you get?”
“Two muffins and a roll,”
She was still shivering and Kaz noticed that her hair was both windblown and damp from the melting snowflakes.
“Here,” Kaz ran his ungloved fingers through the long strands of wet hair. Inej leaned into his touch. Slowly, Kaz moved further behind her so that he could weave each section of hair together. He had braided Inej’s hair countless times before. She would sit and patiently explain how each piece should go under the next or over the last. Kaz, despite being a wicked lock pick, found that her hair had a mind of its own when dry. Inej’s laughter would always help him through the multiple attempts to complete a braid. But now, with the melted snow not yet dried, her hair sectioned and moved much more easily. She had stopped shaking and was now working one of the muffins while kicking off her slippers.
“What’s the time?” Kaz asked, hands carefully tracing the thee sections. It wasn’t yet light out so he had suspected that dawn was most likely upon them.
“The clock in the hall said 4:17 last I saw,” she said lazily unwrapping the waxy paper covering the bottom of the pastry.
“We’re the only ones awake?”
“I think so,” she said turning to look as far behind her as the angle of her neck would allow, “why?”
Kaz used a piece of ribbon she had handed him earlier to tie the ends of her hair together in one final motion.
“I like when it’s just us. This is our own quiet time of day only we know of,” Kaz looked at her chocolate eyes and watched as the bronze apples of her cheeks formed that beautiful smile he knew so well.
“I like it too Kaz.”

Nina would be so dramatic about it too, nonnie, just imagine?? Inej being kind of panicked about it even though her and Kaz had been totally okay with the idea for years, but it was so…unexpected? And Nina has to pick up her chin from the damn floor and she’s just staring at Inej not really understanding how sweet soft kanej™ is actually out there doing the dirty.
